Longi Solar LR7-72HVD-645M from the Hi-MO X10 series is a powerful bifacial photovoltaic module with a rated power of 645 W, built in a 72-cell (72HVD) form factor. We recommend this model for industrial solar power plants, ground-mounted commercial self-consumption facilities, and scalable private solar power plants.
Unlike the LR8 series (which has a 66-cell configuration), the LR7 (72-cell) series is optimized to deliver high output voltage at a moderate operating current. This makes it an ideal choice for building long strings and maximizing integration with most grid-tied and hybrid inverters.

HPBC 2.0 Cell Technology: A new generation of cells with fully rear-contact (Back Contact) placement. The absence of metal grids on the front side eliminates silicon shading and provides a maximum module efficiency of up to 23.9%.

Bifacial Double Glass Generation: A dual tempered glass construction (2.0 mm + 2.0 mm) captures reflected light on the rear side. Depending on surface albedo (gravel, concrete, light-colored membrane) and mounting height, this adds 5% to 25% to the total energy yield.

Installation and Design Experience
From the experience of our installation crews: Thanks to its 72-cell layout, the LR7-72HVD-645M delivers a higher open-circuit voltage (Voc) compared to 66-cell panels of similar power.

String Optimization: The higher voltage allows for longer series strings without exceeding the inverter’s current limits. This reduces the overall consumption of solar cable and the number of connectors on site.

Physical Parameters: The module has industrial dimensions (approximately 2382 × 1134 × 30 mm) and weighs approximately 33.5–34 kg. Two to three installers are required for safe lifting and positioning on the structure.

Mechanical Strength: The double glass provides reliable protection against wind loads (up to 2400 Pa) and snow loads (up to 5400 Pa). When mounting on ground-based metal structures, we always adhere to the recommended clamp mounting points to preserve the factory warranty.
Who It Suits
✅ For industrial and commercial solar power plants (ground-mounted and rooftop), where it is important to optimize the balance-of-system (BOS) cost — reducing the amount of cable, switchgear, and cable runs.

Who It May Not Suit
❌ For small pitched roofs with a complex geometric profile. The large size of the 72-cell module makes it difficult to place on roofs with numerous valleys, chimneys, or dormer windows.
