Longi Solar has released a brand-new series of photovoltaic modules and introduced \u201cHybrid Passive Back Contact\u201d cell technology. The new Hi-MO 7 series will initially be available in four different formats, primarily aimed at rooftop solar power plants.<\/p>\n

The monocrystalline bifacial solar panel LR8-66HGD-615 bifacial<\/strong> is used in grid-tied, hybrid, or off-grid solar power plant systems. It has a power output of 615 W, which is a very high<\/strong> figure for 2025. The solar panel’s efficiency is very high, reaching 22.6% when paired with an inverter, allowing it to be effectively used for earning income under a \u201cgreen tariff\u201d or for off-grid power supply.<\/p>\n

The model is built using the best materials and components available on the photovoltaic market. 132 high-quality silicon cells<\/strong> are secured in a composite alloy frame, 30 mm thick, arranged in 22 rows. Converting solar energy into direct electric current with a maximum voltage of 40.51 V and a current of 15.06 A, they have a low heating level, thereby increasing the performance of each cell. The panel’s surface is reliably protected by double 2.0 + 2.0 mm tempered glass.<\/p>\n

The solar panel has passed hail-impact testing with 25 mm hail at a wind speed of 23 m\/s. <\/strong>The structure can withstand a snow load of up to 5200 Pa and a wind load of up to 2400 Pa. It is resistant to salt moisture, ammonia, and dust, as confirmed by independent testing.<\/p>\n

The device’s IP68 protection class means it is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand brief immersion in water to a depth of up to 1 meter. Accidental contact between electrical components and people is excluded.<\/p>\n

The model is certified under the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 management systems. Compliance with the industry standards IEC61215 and IEC61730 ensures high quality and safety of the equipment. Independent verification of compliance was carried out by TUV Rheinland.<\/p>\n

The device has increased overall dimensions of 2382x1134x30 mm and a light weight of 33.5 kg.<\/p>\n

The manufacturer provides a 12-year warranty on the photovoltaic module’s parts and components. The warranty period for linear power output retention is 30 years, with the panel’s power level remaining no lower than 87.4% by the end of this period.
